Thirlmere View is a spacious lodge with a great layout, situated in a convenient location close to amenities. Guests have enjoyed the warm pool, comfortable furniture, and the hot tub, despite some issues with its jets. The rooftop balcony is a highlight, offering a lovely space for relaxation. While some guests encountered cleanliness issues and maintenance problems, the lodge's size and facilities generally provided a pleasant stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Several guests reported cleanliness issues such as dirty dishes, sticky surfaces, and stray hairs. However, others found the lodge to be clean upon arrival. The inconsistency suggests room for improvement in cleaning standards.

There are no specific reviews detailing the location in relation to local attractions or the environment, hence a score cannot be accurately provided.

Guests have praised the comfortable furniture and beds, and the lodge's cosy atmosphere. The spaciousness and layout contribute to the overall comfort, despite some minor issues with a broken recliner.

The lodge offers a range of facilities including a hot tub and pool, which were generally appreciated by guests. However, there were reports of maintenance issues such as broken showers, taps, and blinds, indicating a need for better upkeep.

Guests mentioned the provision of towels, teabags, and dishwasher tablets, which indicates a level of thoughtfulness. However, the absence of hand wash and a welcome pack in some instances suggests that such gestures, while appreciated, are not consistently provided.

Our 8, 6 and 1 year old joined us and we all loved the hot tub which we made use of every night. Beds were very comfy, kitchen was spacious with all you need, bathrooms were nice, the dining table was big and kids could relax and draw here, and the surroundings were so calm and chilled. It’s a very short drive to Bowness and Ambleside and we took the kids to Brockhole for their Halloween event which was amazing and it has zip lines and play areas for the rest of the year and it was round the corner! My only recommendation for the lodge would be to have a DVD player as my kids love to snuggle up each evening for movie night and freeview tv doesn’t have films. We actually took our own DVD player so we were totally sorted. We would absolutely come back to stay again!

The utility that is shown is actually locked so you can’t get in and could of done with a easier way to turn the fire on ( the manual in the door was draw was complicated to understand) the bedding and towels smelled lovely and clean and well stocked kitchen. However you can’t please everyone and we have already booked for next year and can’t wait.

Has everything you need. Only issues I found was that there was no blinds in the bedrooms and the jets in the hot tub weren't very good. Everything else was great.
