Most guests found the lodge to be immaculate and well-presented, though a few noted areas where cleaning could be improved, such as cobwebs and a dirty oven. The majority of feedback, however, reflects a high standard of cleanliness.

The lodge's location is frequently highlighted as perfect, with its proximity to Windermere and the Lake District's attractions. The scenic setting and ease of access to local sights contribute to a very positive perception of the lodge's location.

Guests describe the beds as super comfortable and the lodge as cosy and welcoming. Some minor discomforts are mentioned, such as issues with a travel cot and single bed mattresses, but overall, the lodge is seen as a comfortable retreat.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the lodge providing most of what guests need. However, there are comments about maintenance issues like a non-flushing toilet and a lack of warmth upon arrival. The park's amenities, such as the pool and clubhouse, are appreciated.

The extractor fan over the oven had no bottom grill on it and was full of spider webs . The good side, when we arrived the lodge was lovely and warm and a nice welcoming light was on . The xmas tree was a lovely touch too .

This was our first time at Lakeshaven and I can’t wait to go back. Surrounded one side with trees made it feel so cosy. Inside was very clean and tidy, beautifully decorated.

It was warm and there was plenty of hot water. It does smell quite ‘doggy’ so great for pets but may need to avoid if you have allergies. The toilet in the master en-suite does not flush properly & the shower head keeps slipping down so difficult to shower under. Needs a new tin opener & some sharper knives, had to hack the vegetables apart when cooking
