Literally home from home with everything you could need available to hand. So thrilled to stay in such a wonderful place that is dog friendly. It was immaculate, clean, warm and a glorious place to relax. Numerous walks accessible from the front door without requiring a car and dog friendly restaurants within walking distance too (highly recommend Urban Kitchen). A glorious stay…we will definitely be back

Pictures do not do justice to how cosy this cottage is, we didn't want to leave!

However, the leak coming from the skylight completely ruined the stay for us. After I reported it the first time, somebody came out to patch it over yet they managed to leave a large gap at the top still allowing water to drip in. At this point I were past it and just kept lots of towels down over night. The company rang the following morning to check and I explained that there were a gap left enabling water to still leak into the cottage. Someone else came later that day to resolve it. That was all sorted as far as the leak from the skylight however it left the cottage looking really dark even in full day light. As the week progressed, the weather continued to rain the whole time. The last 2 nights in the cottage the weather was so bad that the wood placed over the broken skylight was that soaked with rain it managed to proceed to leak onto the top of the stairs again. After reporting this twice we decided that the best option would be to just leave a towel covering the affected area. Usually it wouldn’t worry me however I have got an 8 month old who I was petrified of carrying downstairs incase I slipped and dropped him due to the leak. Apart from the leak the cottage was really nice.
