About this property

You enter this lovely semi-detached barn conversion into a glass porch where you can take off your boots after a day spent walking. This then takes you through to the open plan living area which has a high vaulted ceiling with feature beams. There is a limestone fireplace which houses the gas woodburner-effect stove and a patio door out to the front of the cottage. One of the bedrooms is set on the ground floor and has an en-suite with bath and shower for convenience. The galleried landing then leads to the second bedroom and the family bathroom. Outside is a private patio area where you can enjoy breakfast in the summer months and the shared gardens. Note: This cottage is next door to Ref 952692, together they sleep 6.

The historic, South Lakeland village of Cartmel is renowned as the prettiest village in the Lake District. The Priory Church, one of the finest ecclesiastical buildings in the north of England, remains the heart of the community with its gatehouse forming the entrance to the village. The village features pretty streamside walks, quaint cobbled streets littered with antique shops, a charming gift shop, welcoming, traditional pubs serving real ale, the nationally acclaimed, Michelin Star awarded L'Enclume restaurant, and the Cartmel Village shop, which sells the famous sticky toffee pudding.

Very tricky roads to and from its location. Walks not easy straight from the door. Good location quite central to most of south and west lakes. Lovely bedrooms very comfy beds. Could do with some larger tea cups!

Pheasant cottage was beautiful, beds were very comfy and the cottage was spotlessly clean. Our host were great, a lovely extra was the tasty loaf as a gift from them. The views we're breathtaking and waking up to such peace and quiet definitely helped us to unwind. Thanks again.

The porchway was perfect for damp boots & coats and drying dog paws, so it kept the living quarters really clean. Very grateful for the bread, eggs, milk, and especially the cooking oil as this is messy to pack and wasteful to purchase. Great maps in the binder for guiding us to the village and delicious meals in the warm, friendly pubs there.
