The cottage is presented to an excellent standard with two bedrooms, a luxury family bathroom and a spacious, farmhouse-style kitchen. Both bedrooms are beautifully furnished, whilst the bathroom has a touch of luxury and a feature beam across the back wall. The kitchen and dining area lead to a bright, charming sitting room, which enjoys beautiful views out across the fells and an exterior door leading to the patio. You can sit outside and enjoy the views in the sunshine over lunch, or relax with a drink in the evening. This wonderful cottage is a mile and a half from Staveley, and an excellent holiday base for exploring The Lake District throughout the year. Note: The property is attached to Refs. 11534 and 11536, together they sleep 17.
Just five miles from the famous town of Windemere, Staveley is truly in the heart of the Lakelands. This charming village is just a stone's throw from the borders of the Lake District National Park and offers wonderful and scenic opportunities for walkers, cyclists and nature enthusiasts. The village itself is well-served by a number of shops, a trio of pubs and a railway station, offering relaxing rides through the surrounding countryside. Nearby attractions include the famous Lake Windemere, where you can soak up the spectacular panorama from a boat or take a ferry trip to the Lakeside Aquarium or the Grizedale Forest Park. Ambleside, the centre of English mountaineering, is also close by offering visitors the chance to go climbing.

When we arrived in the early evening, the barn was beautifully warm and very well equipped. The owner, Mr Beaty showed up early into our stay and was very keen to ensure that we were happy with the premises which we were. The barn was exactly as shown on the website and the location and views were spectacular. As dog owners we were delighted with the large field attached to the barn (& shared with the other two barns) and our dog was absolutely at home in the barn particularly on the underfloor heating which was superb! We have already decided to return early in the New Year. Thoroughly recommend this lovely property.

Just one minor problem a very drippy kitchen tap, this has been mentioned by another guest and really needs sorting.

The property was beautiful and was well equipped, but could do with a few bits to make your stay more easier, like hand wash in the downstairs toilet and a small supply of basic kitchen essentials like oil, salt and tin foil. Everything else was great, the view from the front door was amazing. Will definitely be back!
