Surrounded by scenic footpaths and cycling opportunities the village is a perfect base for a break in the countryside. Take a walk up Levens Park and see if you can spot the deer or cycle along the Lyth Valley or visit ther viewpoints on Scout Scar or Whitbarrow to enjoy magnificent views of the Lakeland Mountains. Levens Hall, an Elizabethan mansion standing in magnificent grounds and famed for its topiary gardens is just a short distance from the cottage, as is the medieval Sizergh Castle. Both the lovely market town of Kendal and the pretty coastal resort of Arnside are within easy reach of Levens and are well worth a visit. The popular Lake District destinations of Bowness on Windermere and Hawkshead are also only a short drive away.
