About this property

Pure Grace is an exclusive first floor apartment based on the edge of Ambleside, with spectacular views across the northern shores of Lake Windermere.

Pure Grace forms part of an exclusive development and is bound to leave you feeling relaxed.

Step through the private entrance where a spacious hallway leads to an open plan living space with eye-catching panoramic views. The luxurious Mark Wilkinson kitchen is the perfect place to prepare a special meal, which can be enjoyed with friends in the smart dining area. Two king size bedrooms with designer en-suite bathrooms complete this property. All of which have been presented to a luxurious standard.

A balcony overlooking Lake Windermere is the perfect place to watch the sun go down. Two acres of tranquil landscaped gardens surround the apartments, which can be enjoyed through each colourful Lakeland season. A private parking space is also provided with a secure video entry system. The apartment can be reached by stairs or lift.

Pure Grace offers the best of both worlds, just 50 metres from Lake Windermere’s beautiful northern shore and only a short stroll into Ambleside’s bustling centre where you can browse outdoor shops, enjoy brunch in a modern cafe and socialise over a few drinks in a traditional Lakeland pub.

From Ambleside you can head on foot straight into the beautiful Lakeland fells, take a scenic drive over the dramatic Kirkstone Pass or step aboard a steamer for a cruise across Lake Windermere.

Pure Grace offers the best of both worlds, a luxurious two bedroom apartment set amongst tranquil lakeland scenery yet a short stroll from the much-loved centre of Ambleside.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.

Sadly, heating and water temperature were not functioning in a way that matches the property, and requires urgent attention. For a 2nd week in March booking we were cold and uncomfortable which was not appropriate given the rental cost and on this occasion the property was not fit for purpose.

On arriving at the property we found a number of issues. There was a small flood in the kitchen that had been caused by the freezer being turned off. This & the mouldy trays were cleaned by ourselves. The property was warm but it was obvious that the apartment had been unoccupied for a period in February & we wanted to boost the heating. We found the radiators almost impossible to control & the one near the patio door didn’t work at all. After settling in over the weekend we became very attached & comfortable at Pure Grace so we extended our stay by an additional 3 nights. Overall a very enjoyable & comfortable stay but could have been a better welcome by Lakelovers. Chris & Suzanne.

Everything was lovely and we had absolutely everything we needed. Plenty of parking spaces for both our cars, very quite with absolutely gorgeous views. Very warm and comfortable. Would definitely visit again. Thank you Jennifer
