Snaptrip says

Church View in Ambleside is a well-regarded cottage, praised for its prime location, comfortable furnishings, and the convenience of on-site parking. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and the thoughtful touches such as welcome gifts. While some guests encountered issues, the majority had positive experiences, highlighting the property's proximity to local amenities and the ease of exploring the Lake District.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found Church View to be spotlessly clean and well-maintained, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, there were a few reports of cleanliness not meeting expectations, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is highly praised for being central, convenient, and within walking distance to Ambleside's attractions and Lake Windermere. The availability of a parking space is frequently mentioned as a significant benefit.

Guests generally found the cottage to be comfortable, with a particularly comfy bed and well-appointed living space. Some guests, however, mentioned that the seating could be improved, which affects the score.

The cottage is well-equipped with modern facilities, including a kitchen and bathroom that guests found satisfactory. Some minor suggestions for improvements were made, but overall, the facilities met guests' needs.

While some guests mentioned welcome gifts, there is not enough consistent information about the thoughtfulness of the host across the reviews to provide a score. It should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.

A well equipped and comfortable cottage.

Cosy cottage with all the facilities we needed for a very enjoyable stay. Stunning views from the bedroom, particularly with the snow on the hilltops. Perfect location for walking in the area and within a 2 minute walk of the centre of Ambleside. Onsite parking is a real bonus. We will be back again.

The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever had. Right in the heart of Ambleside is a big plus. The TV was very basic and could do with a Freeview box being added. Also like most rentals the quilt was very heavy, about 13.5 Tog, too hot for us. On the whole a lovely property.
