This Ambleside cottage has one comfortable double bedroom with views across to the Lakeland fells, making it a wonderful, romantic hideaway. The open plan living area has patio doors leading out to a small patio area, a perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing drink and to discuss what adventures are still to come on your wonderful break away. Borrans Park is just a five minute walk away and sits on the northerly tip of Lake Windermere; from here you can embark on a cruise down the lake to Bowness-on-Windermere or simply enjoy a picnic.
You can walk alongside the River Rothay and up on to Loughrigg, a rewarding climb to discover the fantastic views across Lake Windermere, Rydal Water and Grasmere. A warm, welcoming and well-equipped Ambleside cottage, perfect for returning to after a day of walking or touring the beautiful Lake District.

A parking space at the side of the property. A little table and chairs to sit outside on an evening as for once we had fantastic weather. Inside has everything you need, the sofa and bed really comfortable the only downside is the shower which was a source of entertainment as it was either freezing cold or boiling hot we couldn't seem to get it regulated but that could be just us. Really enjoyed our stay thank you.

We have been before. The owner supplies all the little things (washing up liquid, toiletries etc) and also left biscuits and wine for us. Everything was fine. The parking is a bonus, and the location is a couple of hundred metres from the centre of Ambleside. Will return when we're next in the Lakesl.

House has everything you need for a short stay holiday. Need to advise customers in advance of stay that oven gloves are not provided, then can bring their own to avoid getting burnt if using oven. Bathroom needs attention, shower very difficult to work, variable temperature, went from boiling hot to freezing cold during having a shower everything used. House rules not very welcoming, came across very naggy and shouting.
