You ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to walking opportunities; hike to the top of Loughrigg Fell (3 miles) for fabulous views over Grasmere or wander down to Windermere s Waterhead Pier (less than 1 mile) for a waterside stroll or a ride on one of the iconic steamers. Lake Windermere is a truly magical place, surrounded by mountain peaks and pretty Lakeland villages a photographer s dream. Hop on and off the steamers to ride on the vintage steam railway, visit the aquarium or explore the World of Beatrix Potter.
