Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage is consistently described as clean and fresh, with several guests specifically noting the cleanliness upon arrival. The property appears to be well-maintained, contributing to the high score in this category.

The location is highly praised for being central and convenient, with easy access to Ambleside's shops, pubs, and natural attractions. The positive feedback on the location is overwhelming, leading to a near-perfect score.

Comfort receives a slightly lower score due to mixed reviews. While many guests find the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable, some mention issues with noise, an uncomfortable sofa, and a firm mattress. The overall comfort is deemed satisfactory by most.

Facilities are well-regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped and guests appreciating the efficient heating. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a broken cafetiere, a temperamental toilet flush, and a shower screen needing attention, which affects the score.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtful gestures of Prosecco and milk, which contribute to a welcoming experience. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, the score reflects the positive impact while acknowledging the variability of such offerings.

Very clean and had all facilities we needed.

When we walked into the property it smelled clean & fresh & felt lovely & warm, a real home from home. The bed was very comfortable. Maybe take a look at the toilet flush it was a bit temperamental. The bottle of prosecco was a really nice gesture & the pint of milk much appreciated. We would love to return to 2 The Old Coach House in the future.

Very comfortable an clean. Only downside is the very tight parking, which actually didn’t affect us as there was nobody in the other cottage while we where there but would have been a very tight squeeze if another car had been there, but on the upside at least it has its own parking.
