Cleanliness received mixed feedback. Some guests found the property to be clean and fresh, while others reported issues with dust, cobwebs, and cleanliness standards not meeting expectations. The presence of dog hairs and outdated information files were also noted.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, stunning views, and proximity to local attractions and the village of Hawkshead. Guests enjoyed the scenery and found it to be an ideal spot for exploring the Lake District.

Comfort levels are generally well-regarded, with guests finding the living spaces cosy and the views delightful. However, there were several complaints about the quality of the mattresses being too soft or uncomfortable, which affected the overall comfort for some guests.

Facilities are appreciated for being well-equipped, especially the kitchen. However, guests noted maintenance issues such as broken fridge shelves, stiff doors, and damaged furniture. The provision of a wood burner was a plus during power cuts.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate the property owners' consideration for guests' experiences. Therefore, this score cannot be provided.

Newby Bridge is ten miles away and offers attractions such as the Aquarium of the Lakes and Windermere Lake Cruises, sailing daily between Ambleside, Bowness and Lakeside. Everything was perfect with all provided. The space is terrific with a lovely view out - all the better for the spring lambs in the field! The bedrooms and shower/bathrooms are wonderful. Comfy beds and tons of storage space. The kitchen has all you need. One quick thing, the vistors instructions with details on pubs and places to eat does need updating!

It might be the reason we don’t go back and that would be such a shame. Otherwise the most lovely place to stay, despite the rain!! We loved it. Get a new firm mattress, maybe swop the bed for a kingsize and you have literally got the best place to stay in the Lakes. Thank you so much.

It was like a home from home and even had a dog bowl which was perfect as we had forgotten to take one! As our stay was over the New Year period, it was very dark in the evening and would benefit from better lighting around the property, however we did not venture out much due to the weather. How Beck is right next to a fast running stream but as it rained for our whole stay we did not have the pleasuring of sitting out on the decking, which was quite slippery in any event so you do need to be careful. We hope to stay again in the summer to have the full experience of the light nights and warmer weather. All in all a great stay.
