Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and comfortable. However, a few noted areas where cleaning could be more thorough, such as under furniture, and a broken vacuum cleaner was mentioned. These isolated comments suggest room for improvement in cleaning standards.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and tranquillity, with stunning views and direct access to walks. The proximity to a friendly local pub adds to the appeal. The remote setting is appreciated, although it requires some travel for shopping.

The cottage is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and guests appreciate the inclusion of dog amenities. Some guests reported minor maintenance issues such as a problematic heater and a bath hot tap not working. The presence of Wi-Fi and entertainment options like Netflix is a plus.

The views from the back garden were amazing. The cottage was very clean, I was very impressed with the fridge freezer it looked brand new. Comfortable beds and bedding. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to both cook and serve food. The Wi-Fi worked absolutely fine throughout our stay, if you have WhatsApp or messenger you can phone this way with no problem. There are lovely dog walks within a few minutes of the cottage, alongside a river and through numerous fields. One cottage down from ours there is a lovely public house -The Newfield Inn. We had two breakfasts and two evening meals whilst staying at the cottage, the food was great and the staff we met were very friendly, great humans. Dog friendly pub too. Would we stay again at Beckfold Cottage - Definitely.

A beautifully-situated cottage; very comfortable and all the equipment you need. An enclosed garden for the dog, an excellent walk just behind the cottage and a very welcoming pub with good pub food next door. The Dudden Valley is very beautiful but not as crowded as other parts of the Lake District.

Great walks directly from the cottage and a lovely pub next door. Couldn't ask for anything more. We didn't want to leave!
