A walker s paradise in a picturesque valley, you can take a stroll to the Helvellyn Range, St Sunday Crag and Place Fell. If you like to absorb the sights and sounds of water, the shores of Ullswater are just 1 mile away and you can easily walk there. Head to the northern side of the lake and visit the spectacular Aira Force Waterfall. Keen bikers will love a visit to Whinlatter (21 miles) where there is an abundance of purpose built cycling trails through the forest. There s a lovely country style pub less than 0.5 miles away serving up some fabulous home cooked food. Outside the back of the cottage is a magnificent, mature garden with amazing views over the Lakeland fells and mountains. The garden has a spacious lawned area and a sheltered terrace space with pretty garden furniture. Pour a glass of wine and enjoy watching the sunset behind the mountains beyond.
