Penrith, historically the capital of Cumbria, occupies a central location between the Lake District, the Westmoorland Dales, and the North Pennines, making it ideal for exploring everything the region has to offer. Penrith's sandstone houses conceal intriguing yards, roads, and alleyways, as well as a plethora of lovely cottages, gardens, and modest stores. Penrith, in addition to a large range of good pubs, hotels, restaurants, and entertainment, has a museum and Millennium Trails that wind through the ancient city streets. Rheged, an innovative visitor centre featuring shops, cafés, exhibitions, and a gigantic cinema screen presenting educational and interesting films, is easily accessible from town.

Access to swimming pool is a real bonus for a winter break with kids.

The space was generous, the kitchen easy to use and clean, the shower very good. The bedroom had lots of storage space, both drawer space and hanging. For us the bed was very firm, however perhaps if our bones were younger this would be perfect! The experiences we had with the reception staff were all very positive, and they were extremely welcoming and helpful. We received a call a few days before we arrived to welcome us and give us helpful information. That was excellent. All in all, we had a brilliant stay in 9 Eamont Place, and would love to return in the future. Best Wishes Judy
