The Cumbrian Coastline is just 11.5 miles away too, so you’ll soon be embracing cliff-top walks and seaside scrambles around the St Bees Heritage Coast.

Step inside and be blown away by the period beams, sweeping staircases and large sash windows that hint of the property’s Georgian heritage. You’ll enter via the dining room, a pleasant space for all those hearty meals your party will soon be enjoying together. The lounge offers a space to retreat for a post-dinner coffee in front of the open fire. Return from your explorations with armloads of local produce and prepare a feast in the kitchen, appreciating the range of gadgets and appliances on offer. The utility room is the first stop for sorting muddy paws and outdoor gear, leaving you free to take a breather and open a bottle of wine. Weary and ready for sleep, there are six bedrooms split between the ground floor and first floor, all served by the generous family bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, and the adjoining double and twin room is a handy solution for young families. Outside, the gardens provide 1 acre of secret areas, tiered lawns and mature flora to explore.
