If you like peace and quiet you'll love Greenrigg Cottage! We only had 3 nights but it still felt like home from home. Caldbeck is a short drive away with a fantastic dog friendly pub, great food, great beer and great staff. Lovely village store too.We couldn't make the most of the walks from the cottage due to it being in the middle of a heatwave but the views are fantastic. The cottage was clean, very well equipped and comfortable.

This is one of the nicest, cleanest and most comfortable cottages we have ever stayed in. Well away from the holiday crowds, high on the upland fells. If you want shops and amenities close at hand, this is Not for you. If you like peace and quite, it is perfect.

This was our 5th time at Greenrigg Cottage and again didn't disappoint. It is a comfortable, very well equipped, dog friendly cottage in a lovely quiet location on Caldbeck Common with far reaching views and free roaming sheep and cattle. It is ideally located for travel to lots of beautiful, interesting places and walking locations. The Oddfellows Arms, Caldbeck and The Pheasant Inn, Bassenthwaite are highly recommended for food and are only about 10/15 minutes drive away. The owners live next door if ever you need anything, which fortunately we never had. Highly recommended.
