What an amazing cottage. Nestled at the end of Corney fell it's a perfect get away from it all place to enjoy with extended family. A welcoming traditional farmhouse with huge rooms! Felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. The location was perfect being able to see the sea and the hills. Will definitely try to come back for our annual Lakes break.

Foldgate is a large cottage with ample room and family (and pet) friendly. Its fully equipped for larger groups and families which is why we booked it. Check in was really easy and Ian was available for any issues and recommendations for things to do locally. There was plenty to do in the local area. Several beaches are within 15 minute drive and they're fantastic. The steam Railway and Muncaster Castle were close too. An hour drive takes you further into the lake district and we visited Keswick/Derwent. All of these places and activities were dog friendly. The cottage is in the middle of Corney Fell and there are lots of walks on your doorstep. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Our only feedback would be the cottage could do with a deep clean in places and due to the nature of the cottage it was damp, even in the height of summer. Which meant some rooms were a little musty.
