Behind the sitting area sits an oak dining table for four, perfect for enjoying evenings together over a freshly prepared meal. The kitchen is bright and well arranged, featuring stylish green tiles, a superb AGA range and a selection of additional appliances for the chef of the group. Upstairs, the cottage benefits from two attractive bedrooms: a super-king-size with zip/link features for flexible sleeping, and a king-size room, both offering ample storage. The first-floor bathroom provides a bath with electric shower over, offering a welcome place to unwind after a day of walking, while a useful drying cupboard is close by for laundry, boots and rucksacks.

Outside, stable doors lead to the enclosed garden, where two seating areas offer ideal spots for al fresco lunches while children and canine companions enjoy the lawn. Gosforth provides welcoming inns, while Seascale is close by for a shop, cafes, beach days, golf, and wildlife spotting at Drigg Sand Dunes. Further along the coast, Whitehaven offers a marina, museums, and historic attractions, while the surrounding national park delivers exceptional opportunities for climbing, kayaking on Wast Water, and scenic trails around Grizedale. The small village of Gosforth sits amongst beautiful Lakeland countryside and consists of a scattering of traditional cottages, farm dwellings, and pubs serving good food. The village forges links far back into the history books and proudly shows the tallest, and oldest Viking Cross in England, plus the church holds many treasures not least the amazing Hogsback Tombs. Close by are the towering peaks of Scafell - England's highest peak, as well as Great Gable, Hard Knott, Harter Fell and Muncaster Fell, whilst the nearby valleys of Eskdale, Wasdale and Dunnerdale provide breathtaking scenery. There are many local attractions in the area including Muncaster Castle, the World Owl Centre and the Ravenglass to Eskdale miniature railway. This great location has something for everyone.
