Uncle’s Cottage is an ideal base for guests arriving on public transport, it is situated 200 yards from the bus stop in Keswick town centre. Shops, pubs and restaurants are literally on the doorstep and there are dozens of lovely walks directly from the town. The owners completely renovated and refurbished the cottage when they took possession from his Uncle (no prizes for guessing where the name came from). They have created a pleasant open plan living area on the ground floor with comfortable leather sofas, and complete with kitchen. The first floor has been redesigned to improve the bedroom space, a bathroom was fitted and the ceilings were raised to expose the roof beams.

Lovely comfy cottage in a great central location.

This was our 2nd stay at Uncles Cottage. Although it is centrally situated, it is very noisy from the road traffic & people walking passed. It would definitely benefit from double glazing at the front & the front door needs attention as, although locked, there is a gap at the top of the door, which adds to the noise & draft. There are no spare cupboards in the kitchen area to store your own food & I noticed a few of the pans/dishes were dirty & I had to wash them before use.That said, it is a lovely little cottage, well positioned for Keswick town centre & all it has to offer.
