The Fells is a well-regarded cottage in Keswick, praised for its cleanliness, central yet quiet location, and comfortable amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, pleasant gardens, and thoughtful touches like a bottle of wine and biscuits. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive with many guests planning to return.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as very clean, with spotless conditions noted in several reviews. One review mentioned it could be cleaner, suggesting room for minor improvement.
The location is highly praised for being central, close to the town centre and Fitz Park, yet quiet. Its proximity to local amenities and walking routes is a recurring positive aspect.
Comfort is generally well-received, with mentions of comfy beds and a cozy lounge. However, some guests suggest improvements in lounge seating and a preference for firmer mattresses.
Facilities like the well-equipped kitchen and smart TV are appreciated. Maintenance issues such as toilet flush problems and a sink not draining properly are noted, indicating some areas need attention.
While guests express gratitude for the welcome gifts, there are not enough reviews discussing the consistency of such gestures to accurately score thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Lovely, comfortable holiday cottage, very close to town centre in a quiet location. The cottage is also very close to Fritz park where we could exercise our dog and there was plenty of space for him to run around. We had a very restful 3 nights at the fells cottage (wife, me and dog). The enclosed garden was perfect for our cockapoo.Parking is offsite but is only a short walk away and the advanced permit made it stress free.We are highly likely to return in the future.

This was the 7th or 8th time we have stayed in Keswick and this was the best cottage so far. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and in the perfect place for the town centre and accessing Fitz park for early morning and evening dog walking. The bottle of Fizz and the biscuits were much appreciated. My only slightly negative comment would be that the chairs in the lounge could be bigger and more comfortable.
