The cottage is directly opposite Fitz Park and the River Greta and offers fabulous views over the river and surrounding fells. There are many walking and leisure opportunities from the doorstep which means you need not use your car. There is private parking available for one car

    We have stayed here a number of times and it is just a home from home for us. Beautiful period property which is cosy and warm for a winter stay. Lovely layout and tastefully furnished. Modern well equipped kitchen also. Great that dogs are allowed also as it completes our stay. Perfectly situated for the park, a quick walk to the town centre and walks from the doorstep to the fells. Private parking for one car is a bonus too. Highly recommend a stay here.

    We had a great time in Keswick and at Shorley Lodge. Great location, 5 mins from Keswick centre and opposite Fitz Park, with easy access to Derwentwater and some superb walking. Our main concern before visiting was the main road at the front, but this wasn’t busy and didn’t cause us any issues. With good amenities, very comfy sofas and beds, and a great period ‘feel’, Shorley Lodge was an ideal place to stay.

    Wonderful cottage . Comfortable, clean and spacious. Just a couple of minutes walk into Keswick centre . Right opposite the park and also thel bus stop which stops at Grasmere ,Ambleside and Windermere and on route to Kendal .The allocated parking spot is also really useful . We've already re booked for next year ,can't wait .
