    Well-equipped kitchen. Beds comfortable.

The house was comfortable and well-appointed. The sofas and beds were comfortable and the showers were spacious and powerful. The cottage was ideally situated within easy walking distance of Keswick centre, and we took advantage of the many coffee, sandwich and pasty shops. Also a perfect base for getting to the many walking routes. We could also enjoy spending time in the cottage, after returning from our walks. The kitchen was well-equipped, with numerous plates, bowls and mugs, so larger family groups would have no issues. (Could perhaps do with a few more tea spoons and a couple of sharp knives). We had a very minor issue with one of the blind pull-cords breaking, which we reported to the local office, just down the road, but this was no inconvenience. We would have no problem returning to Shields again.

The toaster was not working but other than that everything was as advertised. The only issue I have is the check out time of 09.00 which is extremely hard with 4 young children, this would definitely make me reluctant to book again.
