Polperro is a fabulous detached bungalow which will appeal to a wide range of customers, it is ideal for young families and people with restricted mobility as there is only two small steps to get into the bungalow and just one step inside. It is immaculately presented, with quality furnishings, great kitchen facilities, a conservatory and delightful enclosed garden, a real ‘home from home’. Situated on ‘High Hill’ a popular location in Keswick, Polperro has a lovely open outlook to the front, with beautiful fell views and is only five minutes level walk to the town centre. There is a convenience store at the petrol station 200 yards away. Shop and pub 600 yards, restaurant 400 yards.

    Booking was easy, some previous reviews caused concern. Any problems were rectified by host. Polperro was a bit hard to find. Church Lane addres would have been helpful, plus postcode. Bungalow was spacious, kitchen well equipped, but could not find a freezer, as mentioned, is there one somewhere? Beds were comfortable. Stacks of storage space in the larger bedrooms & in the kitchen. A 'warm' welcome, heating was on, a big plus. Shower in the cubicle was extremely hot, this was quickly adjusted when reported. Off road parking is on the drive, although the gate entrance to the drive is quite narrow. Wifi, TV & DVD all working. Some light bulbs out in the lounge, need replacing. Dining room & conservatory well equipped with plenty of seats, although the comfortable conservatory suite needs replacement covers. Overall - pleased with prompt attention by host, as necesary, and content with Polperro being as described.

    Very nice cottage. Were able to fit 2 large vehicles on the drive. Lovely big garden which would be great in the summer. Enjoyed watched the rabbits. Well equipped. Handy having two bathrooms. Within reasonable distance of the centre. Due to personal circumstances we left a day early but had we left on booked departure date would have to vacate by 9am which we felt was too early. Most places allow 10am onwards. Would definitely return.

    We have stayed at Polperro many times before and I am sorry to say it is in need of some TLC. The bathroom floor is dangerous if you are unsteady on your feet, The conservatory radiator isn’t working so unless it is sunny the room is too cold and some of the windows need replacing. Window blinds, light bulbs, television and garden furniture need some attention.
