Polperro is a fabulous detached bungalow which will appeal to a wide range of customers, it is ideal for young families and people with restricted mobility as there is only two small steps to get into the bungalow and just one step inside. It is immaculately presented, with quality furnishings, great kitchen facilities, a conservatory and delightful enclosed garden, a real ‘home from home’. Situated on ‘High Hill’ a popular location in Keswick, Polperro has a lovely open outlook to the front, with beautiful fell views and is only five minutes level walk to the town centre. There is a convenience store at the petrol station 200 yards away. Shop and pub 600 yards, restaurant 400 yards.

We have stayed at Polperro many times before and I am sorry to say it is in need of some TLC. The bathroom floor is dangerous if you are unsteady on your feet, The conservatory radiator isn’t working so unless it is sunny the room is too cold and some of the windows need replacing. Window blinds, light bulbs, television and garden furniture need some attention.

We’ve stayed in Keswick before so know the location of this property well. The weather was mixed while we were there with quite a lot of rainfall but although we were confined to the house on one day the lounge was so comfortable it wasn’t an issue. I’d certainly recommend Polperro it is spacious and well equipped and well situated near the town centre. Always a treat walking around Derwent Water one of our favourites.The only negative for us was that we felt the bathroom floor was spongy under foot and used the shower room instead I think the owner needs to look at this situation and find out whether there is an issue perhaps water is finding it’s way under the floor covering.Other than that we had a very pleasant stay.

Pollerro is in the ideal location for Keswick, and suited our requirements. Very spacious, the garden is big and well maintained.Points for improvement;The Cleaning is not being done to holiday let standards. Kitchen and kitchen draws being the worst, food crumbs in draws, and grease on splashbacks and spillages on cupboards doors.Bathroom floor is spongy and dropped, almost completely rotted, to the point it’s almost falling through. Would benifit from the main bathroom being refurbed.Property maintenance is lacking; needs re painting right through, marks on walls and glossing tired and stained.Mattress in back bedroom was heavily stained on removing bedding. Gardener turned up with no notice, we noticed on getting up she was weeding the paths back and front. Not a massive deal for us and we would stay again. But can be massive issues for some, we know because we’re in the holiday let game.
