The popular bustling market town of Keswick with an abundance of interesting shops, eateries and a good leisure centre is 4½ miles. Stretch your legs along the edge of Derwentwater or through Borrowdale Valley and pick up the Keswick launch to cruise back again. Towards the south, Ullswater and Thirlmere are a short drive away and both connect via passes and spectacular scenery to the South Lakes.

Great holiday home for extended family group, loads of space, 2 living rooms, comfy beds, very well equipped. Good location close to a66 but far enough away that you can't hear it, close enough to walk blencathra from the door. Good farm shop a few miles away, and close enough to Keswick.
