Lake Windermere offers boat trips and good shops; Keswick (6 miles) has tennis, riding, golf and fishing; sailing on Lake Bassenthwaite.

The accommodation was everything I hoped for and more..peaceful, clean and cozy! Located on the banks of Thirlmere it is a 5 minute walk to the local pub which serves excellent food and drink. A bus stop is located next to the pub which enables you to travel to Keswick, Ambleside, Bownes and Windermere with ease. A very enjoyable stay..thank you.

Such a beautiful place to stay! We loved our short visit here. We could even walk around Thirlmere lake from our doorstep.
