The kitchen/diner has breathtaking views over towards Catbells, and there are all the appliances you need to rustle up a romantic dinner after a day exploring. Up on the first floor is a double bedroom with a gorgeous stand-alone bath and a separate en suite shower room with WC. Outside, you can enjoy the wonderful shared garden area, which has seating so you can admire the views of Causey Pike. Stroll to the front garden with a drink and sit on the bench to take in the beautiful scenery, looking towards Catbells.
Out and about, head to Surprise View (7 miles) and walk up to the viewpoint, which offers impressive views of Derwent Water. If you prefer water sports, then Bassenthwaite (3 miles) or Derwentwater (2 miles) are perfect for kayaking, canoeing or paddleboarding. History buffs will love a trip to the atmospheric, Neolithic Castlerigg Stone Circles (7 miles) with panoramic views of Helvellyn and High Seat mountains as a backdrop.
