Apartment 1 is on the ground floor of Chaucer Lodge, a small development of four similar apartments situated next to Chaucer House. It is equally suitable for guests with mobility problems or those seeking a central location, with ground floor accommodation, shower, adjacent parking and five minutes level walk along Southey Street to the town centre. The owners provide Wi-Fi internet access. Keswick is surrounded by stunning fells and the town has great amenities, so your car need not move from the private parking space.

Pros - Off road private parking, great location with a short walk into the town centre, property was clean Cons - the property was damp and smelly, the bed sheet was far too small and kept coming off, the bed was very soft, only one USB plug under the dining table (not easy to find or use), uncomfortable sofa, door lock wasn’t easy (the key kept turning but not locking the door), very small bedroom, no outdoor spaceWe stayed in July when the weather was good, so meant we didn’t have to spend too long in the apartment which was a relief. In summary we wouldn’t stay there again
