Apartment 1 is on the ground floor of Chaucer Lodge, a small development of four similar apartments situated next to Chaucer House. It is equally suitable for guests with mobility problems or those seeking a central location, with ground floor accommodation, shower, adjacent parking and five minutes level walk along Southey Street to the town centre. The owners provide Wi-Fi internet access. Keswick is surrounded by stunning fells and the town has great amenities, so your car need not move from the private parking space.

Lovely Apartment, compact and everything you need , added bonus of parking. Within minutes to walk into the centre . Highly recommend.

It was our first visit and after reading some of the negative reviews we were not sure what to expect. Any worries were completely unfounded. It was clean with no sign of damp. It was well equipped with everything that we needed. The bed was large and comfy which did make the bedroom seem a little small but it was big enough for us. The shower was very good with a good supply of hot water. It was an easy walk to town and easy to walk down to the lake once we found the quite steep footpath just to the right of St Johns Church. Private parking was a bonus as the street was parked up on both sides. We would stay again if we return to Keswick. My only negative comment is that the extractor fan above the cooker did not appear to be working
