Bram Cragg Barn is a stunning conversion created from the former 19th-century byre and barn to a holiday home with a wonderful mix of oak beams and slate features combined with stylish modern fittings. The spacious open plan living room is at first floor level to take advantage of the views across the valley, and the dining area has a large oak table with eight upholstered chairs. The barn stands detached, adjacent to the owners’ home and two holiday lodges, in an idyllic and peaceful setting. There are unspoilt views in every direction towards Helvellyn and Castle Rock, Blencathra, Skiddaw and High and Low Rigg. The location is delightful, farm animals graze close to the barn and footpaths directly from the house give access not only to the more challenging walking routes but to gentle strolls. The scenery is spectacular and walkers, cyclists and drivers will find the immediate surroundings breathtaking. Central for exploring the Lake District National Park. Shop 4½ miles, pub and restaurant 2½miles.

The Wi-Fi signal is very poor in the Barn, hower there is very good G4 and G5 signal should you wish to use your own data.

The water is from a spring, well or borehole, and not a mains supply.

    Bram Cragg Barn is the most perfect location for a family or friends holiday / getaway in the Lake District. The Barn has everything you could possibly need, it’s 5*** We had an amazing holiday last week, walking, talking, playing games, cooking meals together with our grown up children and our dog Bruno. Gillian and Duncan are so kind and helpful. You couldn’t ask for anything more. There’s nothing better than time away from everything and being with your loved ones, in a beautiful home. Wishing Gillian and Duncan the very best of luck in their future retirement and sale of this amazing holiday venue.

    We had a lovely week in this holiday home. The location is truly lovely. The accommodation is fantastic too, everything has been catered for, plenty of kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery. Tv's in all the bedrooms and all bedrooms being ensuite too. Would defo recommend to others.

    We enjoyed a multi-generational holiday in this beautiful location. The property was very clean and the owner extremely helpful. Incredible views and very peaceful, whilst also giving easy access to Keswick which is only a short drive away. Kitchen is very well equipped for a holiday home. The only point that I hadn't picked up on in the details was that the 1st floor bedroom ensuite has a bath but no shower; however there are 3 beautiful (and poweful) showers in the ensuites downstairs. Added bonus of access to a play field for the children on site - ideal for football etc.
