In the peaceful and pretty village of Portinscale, 4 Harney Peak was formerly a Lakeland hotel. There are many flat, off-road footpaths leading either down to the lakeside and marina or into Keswick, where there is an abundance of shops, outdoor specialists, cafés, and restaurants. The Keswick Launch can be accessed from Nichol End, allowing you to view nearby fells from the lake. You can enjoy the views from Catbells on a quiet evening stroll or head to Brandlehow Park along the lake shore path.

Stay was all as described, spacious flat in great location for activities in the north Lakes but also easily walkable to Keswick town centre. Shame that cleaners left previous guests towels in the shower after the turnaround.

Had read a few negative observations in Review comments from earlier this summer, but found everything for our stay was as described, including a smart TV which allowed streaming from a mobile device. If you like a king size bed, you might find the standard size bed to be small. Our first floor Apartment was in a great location for our trip.
