Excellent place, right next to river, right in centre, with parking space, a little in need of redecorating, but would definitely go back

We had stayed in the apartment above last year and it was a great holiday.This time we booked Number 2 on the ground floor, the photos made it look so cosy & comfortable but this was not the case.On arrival we found that the bedding looked like it had not been changed and was stained. We contacted customer support and after an hour or so the cleaner arrived with nice clean laundered bedding, and new towels that we also had issues with.The sofa is so uncomfortable that I had back pain as a result, and the chair in the room smelled of cigarette smoke.The curtain pole in the bedroom hung down on the left side due to a bent mounting bracket, this stopped the wardrobe door opening, ultimately I had to straighten the bracket to be able to hang my clothes up.We were so fed up with the lack of comfort that we went home a day early, needless to say we won't be returning to that apartment again.No concerns with Cottages.com though as we always find them very helpful.
