We have spent a beautiful time in Melbreak accommodation. The cottage was perfect for a quiet retreat in the awesome landscape, nice walks and hiking nearby. Very good location to explore the beauty of the area.

This is our second stay at Melbreak and we shall be back again. It is the perfect location on the quieter side of the Lake District yet easy shopping in Keswick or Cockermouth. The accommodation itself is really comfortable (seating and beds) and the kitchen is great. There's only the one shower room and toilet but we were only a party of two so didn't worry us. The heating is night storage with an additional electric fan heater in the living room for a quick boost of needed but it was cosy even for an end of winter stay (snow on the fells on the last evening). Dedicated off-road parking is close for offloading. I'd fully recommend it and it is excellent value for money.

We’ve just had another fabulous week at Melbreak made even better by fabulous weather.Melbreak is perfectly positioned out of the crowds and close to the mountains. As usual it was a delight to stay in the property it’s clean, comfortable, nicely furnished, well equipped and with great views. This week we were treated to snow capped mountains under clear blue skies but it’s lovely to be in Melbreak even on a dull wet day.As usual we visited the friendly local pub and bought supplies at the friendly community shop.We hope to be back again next year.
