Bassenthwaite is perhaps the most popular and well-known, with its nesting ospreys and suitability for water sports, but the others are equally as breathtaking. You can also explore the attractive coastline from here, including the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the north-west, with beaches within 7.5 miles.
