Situated only 4 miles from the historic town of Cockermouth where you will find a good range of shops and restaurants, Cockermouth is also home to Wordsworth’s House and Garden, the birthplace and childhood home of poet William Wordsworth and certainly worth a visit.  The ever-popular town of Keswick, renowned for its spectacular setting, is only 12 miles away where you can stroll along the banks of the River Derwent or enjoy a meander through the town centre with its many little niche shops.  No visit to the Lake District National Park however is complete without walking, whether it be forest walks,. . .
