This comfortable cottage is perfect for a family or friends to enjoy the spectacular scenery around The Old Man of Coniston and Scafell Pike. You enter the property into a charming open plan living area which has a spacious sitting area with cosy woodburning stove to relax in front of, a dining area and a kitchen with everything you need for your stay. Upstairs are three bedrooms with the flexibility of a king-size double, a twin and a single as well as a family bathroom and a cloakroom. To the front there is a courtyard with furniture, making it an ideal place to relax after a day exploring the area. There are excellent walking opportunities from the doorstep with the local fells and mountains close by. The hamlet offers an excellent pub serving food as well as Murthwaite Green Trekking Centre to take advantage of some great horse riding experiences. The stunning coastline at Silecroft is a perfect place to enjoy, with its sand and shingle beach as well as watching the sunset at the end of the day. Silecroft is located in the shadows of Black Combe with wonderful panoramic views and within easy access of the village of Millom with a good selection of shops and pub to take advantage of. Further afield is the town of Broughton-in-Furness with its’ cobbled square and shops and pubs. Also are the areas of Nether Wasdale and Coniston as well as Windermere and Ambleside, in the heart of the Lake District National Park. With so much to do in this area, you will be spoilt for choice, making West Kellet a lovely cottage to enjoy at any time of the year.

Silecroft is situated on Cumbria’s west coast, within the Lake District National Park, less than five miles from the town of Millom. The hamlet offers an excellent pub serving food plus it’s set on the West Coast branch line, which travels up the Cumbrian coast to as far as Carlisle. A short walk away is a sand and shingle beach, plus Black Combe Hill is close by, where from the top wonderful views can be seen. Millom is close by and offers a number of shops and pubs, as well as a museum, which showcases the town’s history.
