Set off from your doorstep with walking boots or bikes in tow, discovering the nearby hill of Binsey just 3 miles away and offering far reaching views across the Bassenthwaite Lake close by (7 miles). Those hoping to conserve their energy will no doubt be eager to explore the village of Ireby itself, a tranquil spot with a helping of welcoming local pubs, as well as venturing along to the nearby villages of Uldale (1.5 miles) and Caldbeck (6 miles).
