The Old Mill is a lovely modern apartment, finished to a very high standard, and located right in the heart of Keswick town centre, overlooking Derwent Street.

The apartment has a very welcoming feel, with a mix of contemporary furniture and fittings, coupled with traditional beams and quirky ceilings, and a pretty Juliette balcony, and is perfect for a romantic stay for two, or a friends break.

A staircase brings you to the first floor, into the comfortable lounge with its dark beams and Juliette balcony. Then stroll through into the beautifully fitted and fully-equipped kitchen/dining room, with its wooden floors and modern units. There's a cosy twin bedroom with plenty of wardrobe space, and a shower room, with a WC and a hand basin.

Apart from the Juliette balcony, there is no outside space with the apartment, but you're right in the centre of town, and within walking distance of Derwentwater for wonderful walks and views.

The apartment is close to George Fisher's Outdoor shop, and you have shops, cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants right on your doorstep. Keswick has such a variety of things to do from exploring the antique shops, museums and art galleries, to playing golf or crazy golf at Hope Park, or even taking in the Pencil Museum or the Puzzling Place. Head for Derwentwater and you'll find the theatre by the Lake, some beautiful walks and of course, the lake for water sports and sailing.

Bowness, Windermere and Ambleside aren;t too far away, with more shops, walks and attractions. There's also the cinema based in Bowness. And for the hikers, there's plenty to do with Skiddaw Mountain, Grisedale Pike, the Keswick Treasure Trails and Cat Bells fell, all within easy reach.

The Old Mill is a lovely apartment to stay in and offers a perfect base to explore Keswick and the surrounding areas, with a variety of things to see and do, no matter what the weather throws at you.

The holiday centre of the north of the Lake District, Keswick has plenty to offer throughout the year. The town offers a variety of shops, restaurants, and many activities including miniature golf, the famous Theatre by the Lake, fishing and many more. Visitors can enjoy a walk around the lake of Derwentwater, only a few minutes’ walk from the town centre. Nearby, is the Newlands Valley and Bassenwaite Lake. With loads to do for groups and couples, Keswick is a great holiday destination!
