Borrowdale is a wonderfully well equipped and comfortable cottage for six people. Lying at the point where the dramatic steep fell sides of equidistant between the mighty peaks of Scafell Pike and Skiddaw and boasts a staggering array of lowland walks too. Just a short distance away from the property you can catch one of the stately Derwentwater launches and enjoy the views from the water, alternatively why not pack a picnic and hire a kayak or canoe and explore the lake yourself. For the more adventurous souls why not head up Honister Pass to try Via Ferrata climbing experience at Honister Slate Mine, not a jaunt for the faint hearted and only 2.5 miles from the property. As soon as you arrive at this magnificent property you will be in awe. The owners have brought this property back to life and created a luxurious masterpiece. The hallway area shows off the amazing old features with exposed stonework which are complemented by the new oak stairs with a glass banister up to the first floor. Heading into the house we have the cosy lounge area with a sofa and two armchairs and Smart TV, perfect for an evening s relaxation. The kitchen/diner area is the hub of the house and has a wonderful open aspect out over the valley and sliding doors out to the garden so the inside is out. There is a lovely created oak table with chairs. The kitchen is a cook's dream and is created to a high standard. There is an island, plenty of worktop space for all the family to get involved in making a feast. There is a double electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, wine cooler, and microwave. The utility room offers even more space to store your food for the holiday ahead plus the added bonus of a built in coffee machine and washer/dryer. Heading up to the first floor we have a lovely open landing area with the same amazing exposed stonework. The master bedroom has a double bed with an en suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC plus amazing views over the valley. The last two bedrooms are king size and double and have en suite shower rooms with WC each. You will get lost in the views from the garden with stunning mountain ranges on either side of the valley. The patio area is the ideal spot to enjoy an alfresco family meal whilst soaking up these magnificent surroundings. There is parking for 4 cars.
