The town is surrounded by mountains, Skiddaw and Blencathra, and is located between Derwentwater (1 mile) and Bassenthwaite Lake (4 miles). The old Keswick Threkeld railway line path is moments away from the property with lots of walks right from the doorstep. At Whinlatter Forest (5 miles), why not Go Ape, hire bikes and explore the forest trails. Walk the shore path around Derwentwater and visit Theatre by the Lake (1 mile). The Mountain Festival, usually held in May or June, offers three days of world class sports, outdoor activities, talks and films with live music taking place in and around the town. As you enter the property you will find yourself in the hallway, where you will find storage for coats and boots.
