Set in the picturesque Newlands Valley, there is no shortage of beautiful walks of all levels of difficulty. Enjoy a more leisurely pace through Whinlatter Forest Park, which has cycling and walking trails as well as an osprey viewing point. Alternatively take on a challenge with the Newlands Horseshoe which includes the six summits of Catbells, Maiden Moor, High Spy, Dalehead, Hindscarth and Robinson. Keswick is just 3 miles away with shops and pubs to visit, as well as places to hire bikes and boats. Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake are the perfect settings for a lakeside picnic and a wild swim or kayaking on the calm waters. Enter into the welcoming entrance hall of this picturesque cottage and turn to the left where you ll find the comfortable lounge with a curved bay window that lets in plenty of light. Enjoy cosy evenings in front of the open fire watching a film on the Smart TV or DVD player. Cook up a storm in the kitchen which has an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, digital radio and iPod dock, before eating in the dining area which comfortably seats six and looks out onto the garden. Adjacent to the kitchen and similarly fitted with slate flooring is the utility room with a fridge/freezer, washing machine and dryer, as well as storage for coats and boots. There is also a convenient ground floor shower room with a walk in shower and WC. A feature spiral staircase with a rope banister leads to the first floor bedrooms. The first of these is a master bedroom with a balcony which boasts fantastic views out across the hills, while the cosy double bedroom and bright twin bedroom have quaint window seats.
