A traditional, three bedroom, Lakeland cottage, in the foothills of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake and just 3 miles from the shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes of Keswick.

Retreat to this delightful, semi detached, stone cottage, which is set in the northern Lake District and sleeps six guests and one very happy hound. Find the three bedroom property is well situated for walks around Bassenthwaite Lake, less than 0.25 miles away, as well as for fishing and wildlife watching. Walkers will find a myriad of footpaths close by and those who are especially keen can even attempt 930 metre high Skiddaw. Visit Mirehouse and Gardens, with its beautiful grounds, less than 1 mile away, and on the way home stop at Dodd Wood to spot a pair of nesting ospreys. Spend time perusing the shops in Keswick, 3 miles away, and take a cruise out on Derwentwater while you are there. Step into the cottage and find yourself in a reception hall leading to a snug with a TV, with Freeview, which children will enjoy. Further on into the cottage, however, you can also gather in the beamed lounge to watch something together, play a game and perhaps light the wood burner on colder days. Discover your kitchen/diner is also an attractive space, with beautiful timbers. Find it comes with a double fan oven, ceramic hobs, fridge, microwave, Tassimo coffee machine and dishwasher and leads to a utility room, with space for outside gear and your happy hound to be towelled down after long walks. There is also a washer/dryer, freezer and access to the ground floor WC. Two staircases in this cottage lead up to the first floor accommodation, which includes a super king size room, which can be arranged as a twin if required. There is also a king size room, entered via a step down, and a twin, also a step down, which can become a super king size room if required. Find a family bathroom, with an elegant fireplace, plus a bath, shower, WC and handbasin, at this level too, along with a shower room, with WC and handbasin. Both these rooms benefit from underfloor heating. Enjoy the beauty of the Lake District as you relax out in the garden. Dine on the terrace or enjoy a chilled drink on a warm summer evening as you absorb the scenic vistas. Find a parking area shared with other properties with an electric charging station plus storage for bicycles and other outdoor equipment.
