Snaptrip says

Dale View is a well-received cottage in Cumbria, praised for its scenic location, spaciousness, and private swimming pool. Guests appreciate the responsive owner and the property's cleanliness. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is one of comfort and enjoyment, with many guests planning return visits.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property is consistently described as very clean upon arrival, with only a few isolated incidents of minor cleanliness issues which do not detract from the overall high standards maintained.

The cottage's location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and proximity to local towns and the Lake District, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.

Guests find the property cosy and warm with comfortable beds and ample space, though some mention the beds being too soft and the ensuite being cold. The living areas are well-received for family time.

The private swimming pool is a highlight, despite some comments about its temperature. Other facilities like the kitchen and parking are appreciated, but there are suggestions for improvements such as better mattresses and more kitchenware.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as there are no consistent mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the host, and thus it cannot be scored.

My wife was disappointed the aga wasn't working. Other than that a really nice property great location and the added bonus of a pool. Would happily book again

This was sorted after a call to the owner, who fixed it straight away. There's an Aga in the kitchen, but it's not in use. Similarly, the open fire in the living room is covered by an electric heater that isn't great. An open fire and the heat from the Aga would have been welcome. The house is spacious and comfortable. We were six adults and it never felt cramped. Everyone enjoyed the pool which was warm and larger than we'd expected. It's a nice house, but in comparison with most of the other places we've stayed out was lacking those little details that make you feel really welcome. No tea or coffee, no welcome pack of goodies, the bare minimum of cutlery and plates etc The location is great, and there is plenty of parking space behind the house.
