My wife was disappointed the aga wasn't working. Other than that a really nice property great location and the added bonus of a pool. Would happily book again

This was sorted after a call to the owner, who fixed it straight away. There's an Aga in the kitchen, but it's not in use. Similarly, the open fire in the living room is covered by an electric heater that isn't great. An open fire and the heat from the Aga would have been welcome. The house is spacious and comfortable. We were six adults and it never felt cramped. Everyone enjoyed the pool which was warm and larger than we'd expected. It's a nice house, but in comparison with most of the other places we've stayed out was lacking those little details that make you feel really welcome. No tea or coffee, no welcome pack of goodies, the bare minimum of cutlery and plates etc The location is great, and there is plenty of parking space behind the house.

We had a lovely time and the pool was the added bonus Good location with easy access to all nice places in the Lake District
