Brightly lit thanks to several original chapel windows, decorated with Ercol furniture and enjoying high ceilings and a quirky style, Rainforest Chapel sleeps four guests in two bedrooms. Enter into the porch where there is space to hang your coats and store your boots after a day out, before heading through the charming chapel double doors and into the stunning open-plan living space. Original wooden floorboards offer a rustic feel, while the well-equipped contemporary kitchen with a stylish breakfast bar bring the property into the 21st century. One step takes you up to the sitting area, with two snug armchairs set before the TV with games consoles and a feature fireplace, with a dining table and chairs behind. The ground-floor is home to the double bedroom as well as the excellent bathroom with mood lighting. Up on the mezzanine level, overlooking the open-plan living area, is the second bedroom, with two single beds, it’s a unique space to retreat to at the end of the day. Note - Please find that the Rainforest Chapel is a grade 2 star listed building and is over 160 years old, thus there is a degree of charm and character that comes with living in such a unique dwelling, and that it may not be suitable to all guests that might expect the very highest living standards of a new dwelling thus.

The living room fire place is a 'feature' fireplace only for visual purposes.

The bath hot water has been restricted in temperature and is very slow filling.

You might feel a chill or draft on 'very cold' days due to the original windows and solid walls.

We enjoyed the entertainment. A few tweaks, some extra thought for the guests and the Chapel could definitely be the ultimate place to stay! Good luck.

The pictures don't do it justice. Sympathically converted in a fabulous location. The property was very clean, it has everything you need. All the fixtures and fittings are top quality and work as they should. Our teenager loved the mezzanine as it gave her her own holiday space. I can't recommend this property enough. It's just stunning. Easy travel to many great places. We will definitely return.

Great facilities, everything you would need in the kitchen. Parking on the street was no problem at all. There is as well stocked corner shop a five minute walk away and the chippy just down the road is excellent. Everything was clean and comfortable, a lovely welcome hamper was waiting for us. There was only two of us but if you are staying with more, having two TVs would be very useful. The area is lovely, we visited castles, railways, abbey's, cathedrals, docks, forests, gardens and ancient monuments- all within no more than a 40 minute drive. Highly recommend.
