The gorgeous garden has a plunge pool and hot tub making this property the perfect base for exploring the Somerset Levels and beyond. Set in the historic village of Banwell, this unique property lies adjacent to the main road (A371) which leads to the village and is only a short drive away from nearby shops, cafes and pubs. An expanse of woodland lies behind the cottage and the local area is perfect for walking, cycling and other outdoor pursuits. The spectacular Cheddar Gorge and Weston Super Mare beach are both only 20 minutes drive away. The ancient city of Bath is 45 minutes drive away, offering a range of activities from enjoying the Roman Baths to shopping and eating out. The property has been renovated to a contemporary standard whilst still retaining its traditional feel, with exposed beams and stained glass. Outside, a raised decking area offers panoramic views across the Somerset Levels. The split level property is accessed via a flight of steep stone steps which leads from the cottage to the decking area and garden. ( these steps make the property unsuitable for those with specific access requirements). The ground floor bathroom offers a bath, over bath shower and towels. The lounge, also located on the ground floor, is the heart of the house with log burner (first basket of logs included), TV, Blu Ray player and stereo with bluetooth connectivity. A range of books and DVDs is also provided. It is the perfect place to enjoy an evening in. A small galleried area with seating overlooks the lounge. The kitchen/diner can be found on the lower ground floor and is stylishly decorated with a gas oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. The ground floor master bedroom offers a king size bed. The second bedroom, situated on the upper floor, contains twin single beds. Outside there is a small patio area and steep stone steps lead up to a raised decked area, complete with outside seating and BBQ, from which to enjoy the views on warm evenings. In the adjacent garden there in an inflatable hot tub, available all year round and an unheated plunge pool, available 1st May 30th Sept. Pool inflatables and garden games are provided. Need to know: Bedrooms 1 king size, 1 twin. Bathroom: 1 shower over bath and WC. Kitchen: gas oven and hob, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and dishwasher. TV/Blu Ray playerand stereo (with bluetooth connectivity). Woodburner (first basket of logs included). Sofa bed. Plunge pool (unheated) available 1st May to 30th September. and hot tub available year round. Located a short drive from pubs, shops and restaurants. Small patio, garden and decked area with BBQ. Accessed by a steep driveway and steep stone steps and therefore unsuitable for those with mobility issues. This property will be decorated for Christmas. There is a parking area at the bottom of the steep driveway. Arrival from 14.30 onwards. Departure before 10.00 unless otherwise stated in your arrival details. No dogs allowed. There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of 200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for 25. We will provide more details about this when booking your holiday.
