The property is very much in need of some care. Photos on web, are misleading on what this property is today - you can tell by the hedge they are very old. Cleaning was a little upsetting. Full internal bin, sock on kitchen worktop, mould in teapot (which we cleaned!) microwave was dirty with meat spatters inside. Children play area was with bark in photos but is with grass, needing a cut and lots of stinging nettles, which we tired to remove a few ourself. Sandpit was full of weeds. Photos show flowers pots, but these again were full of weeds. We were a family of 5, yet there was not enough cutlery for us to eat, I do not count a butter knife acceptable for an evening meal. Glasses were lacking. Not the experience the description of the price offered. Description needs updating to take into account current state of property. Photos are grossly misleading and I would recommend to avoid. We decided to go home early, as it was uncomfortable Plus point - a great view

Someone came and greeted us and explained how the various things worked ie the wood. We paid £70 for 5 days of wood (instead of the £50 which was advertised). We lost a day's worth of wood due to the owner not answering messages. So £70 for 4 days. The hot tub lid didn't fit however the tub was lovely when we used it, could have been a little warmer. The firepit was used when we had wood and we loved the experience. The children's play area was out of order so we couldn't use it. This was a huge disappointment as we had booked it partly for the children's area. We were told it was broken by the previous family staying which I understand was out of their hands however when we spoke to them prior to our holiday we weren't informed. We loved the uniqueness of the bus and the children adored sitting in the driver seat. Overall we did enjoy the stay we had. We would love to return once it has had some TLC and back to its former glory. It has so much potential.

However on arrival, we were extremely disappointed. The accommodation was much more tired than we were led to believe and a number of things didn't work. There was no hot water, the wi-fi didn't work, the electrics tripped when we boiled the kettle and, despite paying £50 for wood, we never got in the hot tub because it didn't warm up sufficiently and the wood was damp so didn't burn properly. We were informed that the hot water and electrics would be fixed during our stay but they weren't. We were also told the hot water had only just broken, but when we looked in the visitor book, it had broken months ago. We would not recommend at all and if we could give it no stars, we would. When we contacted Sykes about the issues, they could not get in touch with the owners and offered a small goodwill gesture. It is not a good will gesture the facilities we paid for were not delivered. Avoid.
