Rose Cottage is found beside a quiet country lane on the edge of the tiny village of Awre and close to the River Severn where it makes a large loop south of Gloucester.

It makes a great base for exploring this lovely area with your family or friends. Equipped and furnished to an exceptional standard, the spacious accommodation offers a welcoming and comfortable ‘home from home’ feel with a big ‘farmhouse’ kitchen, a delightful conservatory and very attractive patio and garden at the back of the house.

Upstairs, two of the bedrooms are particularly large and one of them has a view of the river beyond the fields, lovely to retreat to at the end of a busy day. Highly recommended for those seeking space and solitude in the country.

The four bedrooms can sleep eight people; there is a super king size double, a king size, a standard double and a twin room. The bathroom with bath, shower attachment, basin and WC. On the ground floor there is a shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC. Kitchen.

Outside, the huge garden gives plenty of space for families to relax and chill out after a long day of exploring the area around you. The patio area has plenty of space and features furniture and a barbecue, and plenty of space for the two pets allowed should you choose to bring any.

The thriving village of Newnham-on-Severn nestles on the banks of the River Severn, The village is steeped in history, and offers specialist shops to suit all interests, along with traditional pubs and cafes. This charming village, part of which is designated Conservation Area, has a tree-lined main street, many listed buildings, a striking central clock tower and is ideally located for watching the spectacular Severn Bore.

The Severn Way runs to the river and all the activities of the Forest of Dean are nearby with wonderful walking country, as well as cycling and riding on marked trails. Canoeing and fishing are available on the River Wye, and fascinating glimpses of history can be found in places such as Clearwell Caves.
