About this property

Seasalt is a delightful, single-storey holiday lodge positioned on the small Island of Mersea, just a stone’s throw from the cool vibes of the pretty beach huts located in West Mersea. With an en-suite bedroom, Smart TV, and being well-positioned to a nearby beach, Seasalt welcomes friends, family, and two furry friends, idyllic for a seaside escape. Inside, you will find a well-presented open-plan living space including a fully equipped kitchen, to rustle up some evening meals, a dining area to toast to a magical holiday, and a sitting area to relax in after a fun-filled day at the beach. Step outside to the enclosed wrap around decking area, where you can soak up the seaside atmosphere and enjoy the peaceful surroundings with outdoor furniture to relax. Enjoy warm summer evenings with family & friends dining al fresco and making full use of the BBQ provided. As the evening grows darker, escape to the two plush bedrooms, to dose off into a deep sleep, before waking up in a refreshing shower, for another exciting day of exploration. Sandbanks Bar & Restaurant is just a 2 minute walk, along with a little shop and beach diner, everything you need for your mini break. Explore the charming Mersea Island, where you can indulge in fresh seafood at local eateries, take leisurely walks along the stunning coastline, and enjoy water activities such as sailing and kayaking. Visit nearby Colchester, Britain's oldest recorded town, and discover its rich history at attractions like Colchester Castle and the Roman Circus Centre. Seasalt is just the perfect place for you to discover.

Around seven miles square, beautiful Mersea Island is one of the most easterly islands in the UK. The island enjoys an abundance of wildlife and is ideal for walkers, bird watchers and watersports lovers alike. The east of the island offers unspoiled, remote locations, filled to the brim with wildlife and home to lovely beaches, whilst the west enjoys a wide selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and watersports opportunities. The island is famous for its oysters, to be bought from huts or enjoyed in the local restaurants and is situated just nine miles from Colchester, a lovely town offering a castle, museums, a zoo, excellent sports and leisure facilities, a cinema, great shopping and good restaurants. A little further afield is Ipswich, with an excellent shopping centre and interesting places, including Christchurch Mansion, museums, galleries, and the trendy Waterfront marina with wine bars, restaurants and river boat trips. A fabulous Island, ideal for a holiday to remember.
