Pretty lodge cottage in a wonderfully rural setting on the edge of the stunning and renowned village of Finchingfield with its duck pond, village green and country pub.
South Lodge is on the edge of the stunning Spains Hall Estate with its beautiful surrounding gardens, grounds and arboretum.
The cottage is charmingly furnished with pretty prints, comfortable quality sofas, and a glorious conservatory and with incredible views, to complete the scene! The views across stretch across the gardens and grounds of the Hall itself – perfect for a lazy day!
The cottage and estate are just on the edge of the beautiful picturesque village of Finchingfield, often used in photo shoots and films, with its duck pond, stream, picture perfect Essex period cottages and renowned pub and deli, South Lodge is the ideal base to explore this lovely rural countryside.

Ground Floor
Sitting room, with sofa seating, wall mounted TV, with DVD & Freeview.
Conservatory and dining area, with table and chair seating for all guests.
Kitchen, includes fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave.
2 double rooms (sleep 2 each) can be made up as twins on request. (please note, the twin beds are 2ft 6in)
Family bathroom and shower over.

The house was nice, clean, tidy, well-equipped kitchen . We were fifteen days. The area was safe and quiet to rest.Archie , the person in charge , we resolved the doubts and oriented us repeatedly by mail in a very friendly way .The only disagreement was internet but because I had a limit of 10 GB and when offered aumpliarlo but ended with a small penalty . We did not expect that since this limit was equal to someone who stayed one day, three to fifteen .We discussed our opinion kindly and offered us to expand but ultimately did not.La casa estaba muy bien, limpia, ordenada, la cocina bien equipada. Nosotros estuvimos quince días. La zona era segura y muy tranquila para poder descansar.Archie, la persona encargada, nos resolvió las dudas y nos orientó en varias ocasiones por mail de un modo muy amable.El único desencuentro pero fue internet porque tenía un límite de 10 GB y cuando se acabó nos ofrecieron aumpliarlo pero con una penalización pequeña. No esperabamos eso puesto que ese límite era igual para alguién que se quedaba un día, tres o quince. Le expusimos amablemente nuestra opinión y nos ofreció ampliar pero al final no lo hicimos.
