Sightseer s will be spoilt for choice with many historic buildings which dot the landscape including the 12th century Oakham Castle, Burghley House, a truly stunning Elizabethan house and a must visit for equestrian lovers and Rockingham Castle, a magnificent castle built by William the Conqueror. The area is a mecca for wildlife lovers and walkers with a myriad of paths and tracks to navigate including of course the famous Rutland Water which offers a variety of activities including sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, boat trips, fishing, rock climbing, high ropes, abseiling, cycling and hot air ballooning. The kitchen has an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, coffee machine and a handy dishwasher. During the warmer months, the stable door to the garden can be opened to allow for a cooling breeze. The tactile paint palette continues upstairs with light and spacious rooms. Climbing the stairs to the first floor guests will initially find a snug area with vintage style desk and chair, perfect for a moment of quiet contemplation or relaxation. The bedroom easily accommodates the comfy king size bed and will ensure a good night s rest, with views over the green to the quintessential English village. Completing the accommodation is a beautiful shower room with shower and WC, benefiting from underfloor heating. For those who enjoy spending time outdoors, the pretty garden enables guests to climb a little slate path to an upper tier, where there is a patio area with garden furniture and a fire pit/BBQ, providing opportunities for al fresco dining.
