Head back inside and retire to the bedrooms for rest, choosing between the master double with en-suite shower or the two twin beds, each neutrally presented. Start the morning with a rinse in the bathroom, with a choice of bath and shower over, before heading out for a wander around the site.

The community of Bardney in Lincolnshire, which lies on the east bank of the River Witham, has a lengthy Roman, agricultural, and Domesday Book history. The Bardney Heritage Centre, highlighting the wonderful culture, is located in the village along with stores and a charming bar. The city of Lincoln, home to the 11th-century Lincoln Castle and Museum of Lincolnshire Life for history buffs, is close by and offers other restaurants and attractions. With Tattershall Farm Park to the south and Woodside Wildlife Park to the north, there is no shortage of activities for animal enthusiasts close to Bardney.
