The lodge was very clean and comfortable. The weather was kind to us (except for the last afternoon) and Hubby enjoyed the fishing. We had no problem with the heating in the lodge. We turned the programmer to manual as and when we wanted heating and we were nice and warm even in the mornings when the programmer had not been on. During the day the sun kept the lodge very warm, in fact too warm at times, so no heating was required. We would love to come back.

Lakeside , with a perfect view of the wildlife, that are friendly too. The weather was kind to us for our week away. The lodge is fully equipped, clean & tidy, with a much appreciated carton of milk, tea, coffee & cakes that seen us through until our shopping arrived, however a hairdryer would be a welcome addition to at least one of the bedrooms. We found the duvets a tad thin for time of year , but that's purely a personal choice & not a complaint, the owner kindly places throws should you need them in wardrobes & also in the lounge area. A great TV with sky channels. One gripe & pet hate we do have with ALL holiday lets & it's certainly not directed specifically at Stonesthrow , but all of the Sykes accommodations..... the stripping of beds before leaving? We've stayed in various holiday lets & only 1 accommodation (private rent) hasn't instructed the stripping of beds. It's not necessary when you have to check out at 9a.m -10a.m, surely the 3pm-4pm check- ins give ample time for this to be done by cleaning company or the owner surely? We'd love to stay again at Stonesthrow, it's a perfect holiday home & we'll hopefully be back soon.

Travelled from Liverpool with my dad and two sons age 6 and 10. Stayed here while my 6 year old son had an intensive pysio therapy block for 5 days near by, it was lovely and peaceful and very comfortable for him to relax after working hard. Beautiful view of the lake my children loved feeding the ducks. There was binders full of information of the lodge and the local area, the owners thought of everything. It was a perfect stay would definitely recommend and would 100% return for our next pysio block.
